Updates on H1N1 Note to Parents/Guardians

Dear all NDP09 Participants,

In regards to H1N1, MOE has advised us to observe any travel advisories by MOH and to continue to review their travel plans, particularly to affected areas. The well-being of all students is of utmost importance to us.

Public events like the Asian Youth Games, the the National Day celebrations and the Formula 1 race in September will also continue as planned, Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan said on Monday.

For those of you who had gone travelling overseas with your parents/guardians or relatives. Thus, we would appreciate it if you could inform your parents/guardians to provide us a written letter or email of declaration to state the country and the period you have travelled for our record purpose. Third Note to Parents/Guardians on Influenza A (H1N1) on 25 May 09 was updated. Here the link to the Ministry of Education H1N1 website.

SCHOOLS will re-open as scheduled next week, unless there is a big change in the way the H1N1 virus is transmitted here.

Thank you for your kind understanding, continous support and co-operations for making NDP09 a smooth and safe journey.
